The Church of "St. George"

The Church of "St. George" is located in the Chertovets hamlet, which until the Liberation was a separate village with 47 houses. The old church was built in 1847 and named St. Later it was demolished and its place sold. Above the entrance to the church there was an inscription "Sogradisa sya tsrkov 1847 izhdivenie ima li veliki". . Between 1906 and 1908, a new church was built on the adjacent site to where the present building stands. The church was demolished by the 1913 earthquake and rebuilt in 1914-1915 with funds given by locals.
