Craftsmanship developed rapidly on the territory of Samokov.
The creations, created with a lot of craftsmanship and love from traditional and home occupations, have an exceptional contribution in expanding the beauty and aesthetics in the life of Bulgarians. They create a unique world in which the hard work, craftsmanship and uniqueness of the material world of our ancestors meet.
Everything created through domestic activities initially arises from the need to satisfy everyday human needs. Gradually, however, they acquired a wide scope, becoming a craft.
