The late antique and medieval fortress of Sekuriska is located 1.24 km northwest in a straight line from the center of the village of Byala Voda, on a naturally protected hill from the easternmost parts of the Nikopol Plateau. Until recently, its fortress walls were visible, and the fortress occupied a total area of about 2 dka.
In all probability, the "Sekuriska" road station was moved during late antiquity. The fortress is separated from the rest of the hill by a deep rampart and moat about 20 m wide. The rampart rises high above the moat and imposes itself as a powerful fortification. In the early Middle Ages, a fortress was built on the ruins of Sekuriska, which was erected by the Bulgarians. Nowadays, only the moat from the western wall is preserved, as the site was destroyed by treasure hunters.
