The construction of "St. Paraskeva" Church began in 1862 and was completed in 1874 and the church was declared a monument of culture of local importance because it was built before the Liberation. In 1986 it was destroyed by the Strazhitsa earthquake, after which it was demolished. The National Institute for Monuments of Culture provided funds for its new construction, which began in 1994 and continued until 1998, after which it was discontinued and remains unfinished to this day.
