Stefan Banchev

Stefan Banchev lives and works in the town of Samokov, he has been carving for 30 years and has been working professionally for 15 years. He is an admirer of the Samokov school of wood carving. In 1994 he took an exam at the National Craftsmen's Chamber and obtained a Master Certificate for artistic woodworking. He produces wood carved paintings and tapestries, works mainly with linden, but also uses white pine, mulberry and others. Every year in March he participates in the hunting exhibition in Plovdiv with trophy trays for different game, and in September he participates in the International Crafts Fair in Etara.
