In 1915, excavations were carried out in one of the burial mounds in the area of Beglishki Harman. A burial by burning of a corpse was found there, and from the preserved fragments of pottery it was established that the mound had been filled in during the 2nd-3rd centuries. In 1921 only two of the hundred mounds of the necropolis were excavated, north of the village between Kamenitsa and Lepetura, and this area was called the Latin Cemetery. Materials from the era of Roman rule were uncovered in them. There were pieces of pottery scattered over the stones all along the way, and under the stone layer were found coals with small bone fragments, small iron nails, broken pottery and two completely abraded bronze coins.
