A Thracian fortress and an ancient tower rise on the dome-shaped peak of Sokolov peak. A Thracian fortress existed on the peak in the 5th-3rd century BC, which protected the access to the fortress on Ostrets Peak. The construction of the fortress wall is also made of broken stones without solder joint. The area is called 'Falcon's Peak' and the tower was first destroyed in the early 3rd century BC by the Celts and later partially rebuilt in the Roman era.
