Description
The protected zone “Vasilyovska Mountain” has a total area of 4542,79 ha, falls within the territory of 5 municipalities, was declared in 2010 under the Birds Directive and has two purposes of designation:
- Conservation and maintenance of the habitats of bird species to achieve their favourable conservation status;
- To restore habitats of bird species for which an improvement in their conservation status is needed.
The protected area protects bird species under Article 6 (3) and (4) of the Biodiversity Act.
