Protected zone "Yantra River" - BG0000610

"Yantra River" protected zone, falls on the territory of three districts, with Veliko Tarnovo district falling on the territory of the entire LAG "Lyaskovets - Strazhitsa". Declared in 2016, it has a total area of 13 899,88 ha, it has been designated under the Habitats Directive and three designation objectives:

• Conservation of habitat types and associated species and populations within the area to achieve and maintain their favourable conservation status;
• To improve, where necessary, the condition of habitat types and species habitats;
• Restoration, where necessary, of habitat types and habitats of species and their populations.
