Temple Feast of Troyan Monastery " Uspenie Bogorodichno"

The church feast of the monastery is on August 15, when the Orthodox Church commemorates of Uspenie Bogorodichno. Traditionally, the festive services in the monastery on this day are headed by the Bulgarian Patriarch. After the festal liturgy, the miraculous icon of "St. Mary of the Trinity“, which is kept in the monastery, is taken out in a procession and placed in a small chapel near the holy monastery. There, anyone wishing can pass by and pray for what they need. The event, combined with the Craft Fair taking place at the same time in the village of Oreshak, attracts tens of thousands of faithful.
