Folklore Festival "Sparks from the Past"

In July at the April Uprising Square in the district of Novo selo of Aprlitsi the National Folklore Festival "Sparks from the Past - Apriltsi" is held, with the participation of ensembles from all over the country. Thanks to the authentic costumes, Balkan music and folk dances, once again Bulgarian folklore comes alive on stage. The festival is celebrated for two days, with the participants being various folklore song and dance groups, ensembles, folk custom groups, individual performers, from different parts of Bulgaria.
