"Live Coals" Folklore festival

"Live Coals" folklore festival takes place on the nearest weekend day  to May 6 and is organized by the local community center "Saglasie - 1927" and the Nikopol municipality. Since 2008, the "Live Coals" folklore festival has been held every year in the village of Debovo, and is attended by more and more participants from all over the country. Numerous choirs and groups from the municipality of Nikopol, as well as from neighboring municipalities, and also folklore ensembles from the Republic of Romania take part in the festival.

The folklore festival has a competitive nature, and a selected jury evaluates the compositions in three categories: "Folk songs", "Folk dances", "Customs and  rituals".
