Peter Chariski's initial attempts date back to 1991 when he planted a fern on a stone and it started to grow very well. Over time, he succeeded with other species - ivy, juniper, dogwood, and others. After a few years he already had a collection and made his first exhibition in Samokov and later in Sofia. He uses only some bonsai shaping techniques and therefore calls his works not bonsai but living miniatures. In this sense the compositions - plant (fern, ivy, cactus), dry wood and stone are original to him.
