Samokov High School - PG "Konstantin Fotinov"

The Samokov High School is another work of the patriotic Samokov community. On 22.08.1893 in the presence of Ferdinand, Princess Maria Luisa, Prime Minister Stefan Stambolov, Minister of Education G. Zhivkov, Minister of Finance Iv. Salabashev , the founding stone of Samokov high school was laid by the town mayor M. N. Shcherbev. The school was named after the great Samokovian Konstantin Fotinov to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the Bulgarian periodical press - the publication of the magazine "Lyuboslovie", 1844 Smyrna.
