Rila Zelnik in the village of Beli Iskar

The traditional festival of Rila Zelnik is held annually, with a competition for delicious and beautiful Zelnik and a rich folklore program. The festival is organized by the Local Tourist Association "Beli Iskar", the municipality of Samokov and the town hall of Beli Iskar. Local amateur ensembles with dances and songs from Iskrovete - the villages along the Beli Iskar River - usually take part in the festival. They attract the attention of the audience with their authentic folklore and costumes, typical of the region and preserved to this day.
