Natural Landmark „Toplya Cave“

The Toplya Cave is located in the village of Golyama Zhelyazna and can be reached by a picturesque forest trail suitable for a peaceful walk. The cave stretches deep into the rocks and has three entrances, the first of which is a huge natural fountain. Late Paleolithic artifacts have been found in the cave, making the village the most ancient inhabited site on the northern slopes of the Stara Planina. It is forbidden to enter it during the bat breeding season.
