Feast of the potato

Annually, on the second Saturday of October in the village of Chiflik in Troyan, the community centre "Prosveta - 1927", with the cooperation of the mayor's office and the pensioners club, organize the Potato Festival. In the program visitors can see a culinary exhibition with potato dishes, take part in various competitive games and enjoy a rich musical program. All guests can also taste delicious potato soup prepared by local female cooks, as well as the traditional pie with potato filling called "Baraboynik".

The idea of the festival is that it gives producers, traders and tourists the opportunity to have useful meetings and contacts with each other, to exchange knowledge and experience in the field of culinary art and potato production.
