In the village of Gorski Senovets is held annually the Cornelian cherry Festival - "Drenica - a memory of the Golden Age", and the basis of the concept of the Drenica Festival is the emblem of the village of Gorski Senovets - the cornelian cherry tree. In the past, there was an ancient custom in the village, according to which everyone had to plant a cornelian cherry tree in its surroundings and thus the cornelian tree forest or also called drenak was created. For 300 years, this forest has been a symbol of the village, and at the end of the summer, when the cornelian cherry fruit is harvested, a festival is held when everyone in the village displays the cornelian cherry products and its medicinal properties - culinary delights and crafts and handicrafts made from them. The aim of the celebration is to revive local tradition, promote the skills and crafts of artisans and culinarians with their cornelian cherry products and give amateur groups the opportunity to perform.
