National Convention of Sheep Breeders in Bulgaria

The National Convention of Sheep Breeders in Bulgaria is held annually, and the organizers are one Foundation and three Associations, with the cooperation of the municipalities of Lyaskovets, Gorna Oryahovitsa and Veliko Tarnovo and the support of the Ministry of Agriculture.

This event combines the economic aspect of sheep and goat farming with the rich Bulgarian folk culture, traditions and folklore. It has been held annually since 2013. The event is unique not only in Bulgaria, but also on the Balkan Peninsula and without analogue in Europe. During the days of the event, specialised exhibitions and competitions, a farmers' market, culinary demonstrations, an exhibition of traditional crafts and the National Competition "My lamb has turned pale" are held.
