Community centre "Napredak 1871" - town of Nikopol

The community centre "Napredak 1871" has a total membership of 157 people, and the library collection of the community centre's library numbers nearly 1 200 volumes. The following groups are active at the community centre: the Circle of the Artistic  writing; the Friends of the Book Club; the Folklore Group "Maikite na Dido"; the Children's Dance Group "Dunavski bonboni"; the Group for Processed Folklore "Dunavski zvutsi" and the Vocal Group "Veselo petolinie". The community groups, ensembles and clubs participate in and organize many activities, such as: "Nai-krasiva lazarka" contest; Mass egg dyeing; "Iskri nadezhda" concert on the occasion of the renovated hall; "Vyarvam vav valshebstvoto po Koleda" contest; Danube River Day; Christmas Eve reenactment; Children's celebration "Da vazrodim lyubimite igrachki"; Recitals on the occasion of Vasil Levski Day, Bulgarian Volunteer Day and National Enlighteners Day and organisation of the Second Festival "Dunaw, hora, priroda i traditzii". The members of the community centre also work with disadvantaged people. The community centre building is owned by Nikopol Municipality and is provided for the use of the community centre.
