The Malyovishki lakes are a group of three high-mountain lakes and are located near the Malyovitsa peak - northwards from it. They can be reached by heading west from the hut Malyovitsa, following the orange markings and continuing straight on from there, then taking a right turn and a gradual left. The road then runs in a south-westerly direction only and leads past the Via Ferrata road (which is mainly climbed by extreme hikers). After about 1 hour's walk you reach the first of the three lakes, which is the northernmost and largest, the others being a few metres to the south beyond it. The total distance from the hut to the lakes is just over 1.5 km and the vertical drop is 400 m, so the route can be covered in about an hour and a half at a normal pace.
