The Thracian, Roman and Late Antique fortress Mihneva Mound is located on the conical hill of the same name, which is strategic and dominates the surrounding area. It has excellent visibility in all directions and rises 30-50 m above the plain. Originally there was a Thracian fortification on Mihneva Mound, followed by a small Roman fortification in the 3rd-4th centuries and only in late antiquity was a fortress built.
