The Beli Iskar eco-trail is located right at the entrance to the Rila National Park, and the name comes from the river of the same name around which it meanders along its entire length. It is 7.5 km long, easily accessible and recreation areas abound. There are a total of 7 bridges built along the trail, crossing the Beli Iskar River, the longest of which is bridge #4, and the highest point of the trail is 1380 m.
It is an interesting fact that the valley of the Beli Iskar River is the longest glacial valley in the Rila Mountains, and the head of the Beli Iskar glacier lay in the Кanarски Cirque. Fed by the lateral ice tongues and overloaded by the avalanches from the steep side ridges, the glacier reached even to the village of Beli Iskar.
