Dolnomahalenska Church "The Annunciation of the Mother of God"

Dolnomahalenska Church " The Annunciation of the Mother of God " is located in the northeastern part of the town of Samokov, in the Lower Mahala and because of this it is also known as the " Dolnomahalenska Church". Presumably, the present church was built on the site of a small church from the 16th century, when the town became the centre of the Samokov diocese. In 2008, the church was granted the status of a monument of culture of national importance, and to date the church is open every day and daily morning worship is performed, and Holy Mass is celebrated on Sundays and holidays.
